Couldn’t recommend prenton vets4pets enough. Our dog recently became very unwell and due to him being an extremely anxious dog when visiting the vets they suggested a phone consultation initially, which was very thorough and they recommended sedation to help calm him for his visit as he definitely needed checking. When he visited and had his tests done we got given some sad news that unfortunately we would need to have him put to sleep to prevent his condition worsening, throughout this the staff were excellent and understanding with us, giving us some steroids to help him whilst we got to spend a few last days with him. When the day came to put him to sleep we were taken through to Matilda the vet who was brilliant, she explained the process to us as we had never been through this before and gave us time to get our head around it, showing compassion and empathy throughout. She was accompanied by her nurse Charlotte who was gentle and caring, comforting us and Riley during the whole process giving him lots of strokes. Additionally the reception staff extended the same sensitive approach from booking appointments to collecting the ashes, which was accompanied with a much appreciated sympathy card. Thankyou to the entire team which made an extremely sad process that bit easier.

We’ve used Vets for Pets Prenton for a number of years for two of our boxer and cat. We can’t recommend them enough, they offer a brilliant service. The vets are friendly and explain everything to you and clearly understand animals and their owners unlike other vets we’ve used in the past. The receptionists are always welcoming and take an interest in their patients and always come to greet them. Our early memories was of our excitable boxer, the vet had the thought to come outside the building especially to treat him. Our 11yr old boxer has been very poorly and now on the road to recovery. With Rohan scanning him without sedation, Matilda helping with his early stages treating him like a puppy and Mathew treating, advising and helping all the the way has made the worry easier to cope with. We are so grateful. 😊

Our Bichon Poppy has been seen by Rohan since she was a tiny puppy, and she’s now 10 years old. He’s such a caring person and an amazing vet, we feel lucky to have found him and always feel Poppy is in good hands with him. Poppy is quite nervous at the vets and it’s really helped that Rohan has always taken such care with her and tried to keep appointments as stress free as possible. As owners we have always found him so approachable and always willing to explain everything in simple terms, which is so reassuring when Poppy is ill.

This vets is absolutely amazing. Being a first time cat mum, they really put my mind at ease when I dropped him off for his castration operation. Very friendly staff and vets. Have always explained everything clearly to me from his first vet appointment check up when he was a young kitten to when he was in for his operation. Eclverything was explained to me how the operation would go and how to care for him after when we got home.
